1 Million Square Feet for MOD, Donnington

Construction of three buildings totalling 1 million sq. ft for the MOD in Donnington, Shropshire. Knight Webb were appointed by Kuehne +Nagel/Leidos who acted as the MOD's development partner for the scheme. Knight Webb,working closely with K+N, led the design team from bidding, planning and project implementation.

The main warehouse building of 650,000ft2 and 15.2m to eaves included a 60,000ft2 fully automated tote storage facility with high speed cranes. The design and management of automation works, APR racking, refrigerated pharmacutical storage and conveyors systems were fully integrated into the Building Contract works.
