Three Warehouse Unit Scheme, Island Road, Reading

Construction of three warehouse buildings totalling 260,000 sq. ft in Reading for Rockspring/Evander Properties.

The development, on a historic landfill site, included for three separate 12m to eaves distribution facilities. Knight Webb were fully involved with the project from initial site acquisition, planning and construction. The key to the delivery of this project was to develop a cost effective solution to enable the construction of industrial buildings on the landfill. This was achieved by working with the engineering team and encouraging the use of innovative cosntruction techniques within the tender process.
