New 260,000 sq. ft Evander urban logistics scheme set for speculative start

Evander Properties new 260,000 sq ft three unit urban industrial & logistics scheme development at Island Road in Reading is set for a speculative start with Knight Webb providing project management services and support during the development.

The 21 acre site which sits adjacent to the A33, close to junction 11 of the M4 will provide up to 260,000 sq ft of B2 and B8 accommodation in units of 55,000, 72,000 and 130,000 sq ft.

The area is home to occupiers including Tesco, Costco, BMW, Geopost and Jaguar Land Rover.  Retained agents Bilfinger-GVA are marketing the site on behalf of Evander. The development is being funded by Rockspring Property Investment Management.

Planning permission is now in place with the construction contract awarded at the end of April.  Works onsite are due to commence at the beginning of May with the three units expected to be available for occupation by Spring 2017.
