Knight Webb have announced the appointment as project managers and employers agent by Ostrava Properties – the property division of Sir Peter Rigby’s – The Rigby Group on the development of Imperial Park, Coventry a 575,000 sq ft industrial scheme.
The park received outline planning permission for the creation of a modern manufacturing and distribution hub in December 2015, the property division of Rigby Group has now lodged its final plans for the site and expects to issue invitations to tender for the Park’s construction next month.
With initial works scheduled to commence on three self-contained units of approximately 63,500 sq ft, 165,000 sq ft and 350,000 sq ft in August, the developers are planning a build length of 42 weeks, with the project’s practical completion envisaged in Spring 2017.
The development marks the regeneration of a site that lain unused for almost eight years following the closure of Coventry Airport’s passenger terminal and associated buildings.
