Knight Webb have confirmed the successfully completion and handover on programme and within budget of a giant new 850,000 sq ft warehouse development constructed for Kuehne + Nagel in Donnington, Shropshire
The complex project was completed on behalf of Leidos and The Ministry of Defence (MoD) and involved the integration of a fully automated mini-load storage/retrieval system.
The project which involved the sub-division of each building into separate 4 hour fire chambers required a detailed fire engineering solution to be agreed with the Insurers, Approved Inspector and End Users.
Commenting on the project Knight Webb Director and Co-founder Paul Knight said: “Knight Webb have been involved in the development and delivery of this project from first inception. This has been a fully integrated project with the design team working closely with the end user, Planning Authority and Approved Inspector in order to achieve an effective solution. We are delighted with the outcome which is one of the largest build to suit warehouse development projects we have been involved in to date”.
