As part of the strategic growth within the business Knight Webb have announced details of further expansion with news of the appointment of Ian Dalton as Commercial Manager.
The appointment of Ian brings further cost management experience to the Knight Webb team. Ian has extensive experience within the logistics and industrial sector having worked as a Managing Surveyor for Winvic Construction for 10 years.
Speaking about the appointment Knight Webb Directors Paul Knight and Richard Webb said “We are delighted to confirm the appointment of Ian to our growing team. Ian complements our team of experienced project managers and strengthens our commercial expertise.

KnightWebb are to act for Logicor (landlord) and Auria (tenant) in their ongoing negotiations with HS2.
Auria’s current facility in Coleshill is impacted by the proposed HS2 route and associated infrastructure.
KnightWebb are an integral part of the technical and legal teams and are jointly appointed to negotiate and agree the accommodation works and HS2’s access requirements.
In a further development, Exton Estates have appointed Knight Webb to project manage the delivery of a 91,715 sq ft purpose built laundry washing facility for specialist laundry company Berensden at their Capacity logistics and development park situated in Dartford, Kent.
Exton have entered into an agreement for lease with Berensden who provide a laundry service for hospitals across the UK.
On the adjacent plot, Exton has also instructed Knight Webb to project manage the construction of an additional 77,000 sq ft development alongside to be developed speculatively.
Both developments have been forward funded by the developer and are currently in for planning. Construction is due to start on site in March 2018 with completion in December 2018
Knight Webb have been instructed by long-standing client Exton Estates to provide project management services for the construction of two developments at its prime urban logistics Island Road development in Reading.
In the first development, Knight Webb have been instructed to manage the construction of a 100,000 sq ft urban logistics delivery facility to be developed for DHL and is subject to a forward funding agreement. Construction will commence in early 2018 with completion in December 2018.
In the second development, on the plot immediately adjacent, Knight Webb has also been instructed to project manage the delivery of a further additional 15,000 sq ft speculative industrial development
Exton exchanged conditional contracts with Reading Borough Council in late 2016 to purchase this prime 8 acre site and the scheme consists of a two unit scheme of 100,000 sq.ft and 15,000 sq.ft.
Knight Webb have handed over the keys to seven brand new retail units delivered on-time and on-budget for leading multi-sector developer Exton Estates at its prestigious Clock Tower mixed-use development situated in Chelmsford, Essex.
The scheme, the third project to be awarded to Knight Webb in recent times by Exton Estates constitutes the first mixed use/retail development management instructed to be awarded to Knight Webb as it looks to complement the range of services it offers to its growing list of clients and sectors it operates within.
Overall the Clock Tower development comprises over 170,000 sq ft of new retail/mixed-use space to include 92,000 sq ft of retail space across 7 individual units together with 84,000 sq ft of industrial accommodation. The Industrial units are under development alongside and scheduled for completion in January 2018. The project is being funded by Aberdeen Asset Management.
Speaking about the project, Exton Director Stuart Bedford said: “Exton sourced the old 11 acre Britvic Soft Drinks site off market and negotiated a planning consent for a prime out of town retail park on the front five acres.
Aberdeen Asset Management provided development funding. Construction was undertaken by with Readie Construction and PC of the retail units occurred in November 2017. Retail tenants include M&S, Aldi, SCS and Costa Coffee. We are delighted to continue the partnership with KnightWebb and look forward to another successful outcome”
The development of Roxhills’s 240-acre Peterborough Gateway warehouse and distribution park continues with Knight Webb having been directly involved in the management and delivery of a series of key developments on site since the scheme was brought forward.
The site which is strategically located immediately adjacent to junction 17 of the A1(M) has planning consent for industrial and distribution buildings and, when completed, will total in the order of 5 million sq ft of development. Plots are available on a design and build basis with both freehold and leasehold considered.
To date Knight Webb has been responsible for the successful project management and completion of 50,000 sq ft of warehouse accommodation developed on a build to suit basis and leased to leading parcel delivery company DPD, together with an additional 242,000 sq ft development constructed for PA Properties.
Currently, Knight Webb on are onsite presiding over the project management and delivery of a purpose built 170,000 sq ft beverage plant, warehouse and offices for Kingsley Beverages including the installation of a 22,500 bph (bottles per hour) PET line and a 36 000 cph (cans per hour) Can line.
In addition, Knight Webb has recently received an additional instruction from Roxhill to also provide project management, cost consultancy and employers agent services for the construction of three further units to also include a 300,000 sq ft pre-let to DSV together with a manufacturing unit and distribution warehouse.
