Knight Webb have confirmed the instruction from long-time client and leading developer Exton Estates for the management and delivery of the new 170,000 sq ft Clock Tower Retail/Mixed Use development, Chelmsford, Essex.
The instruction received from Exton Estates constitutes the third project awarded to Knight Webb in recent times.
The project features the redevelopment of the former Britvic manufacturing plant and is being funded by Aberdeen Asset Management.
Works are expected to start onsite in January 2017 to include 92,000 sq ft of retail space across 7 individual units together with 84,000 sq ft of industrial accommodation.
Knight Webb have announced the successful completion on time and on budget of a new 103,000 sq ft speculative warehouse development project managed for Hampton Brook at a site in Thrapston, Northampton.
This project is the second significant instruction received and successfully managed for Hampton Brook in recent years.
This facility was completed on time, on budget and incorporated the requirements of the new Tenant immediately prior to completion.
Knight Webb have confirmed the successfully completion and handover on programme and within budget of a mammoth new 850,000 sq ft warehouse development constructed for Kuehne + Nagel in Donnington, Shropshire
The complex project was completed on behalf of Leidos and The Ministry of Defence (MoD) and involved the integration of a fully automated mini-load storage/retrieval system.
The project involved the sub-division of each building into separate 4 hour fire chambers; this requiring a detailed fire engineering solution to be agreed with the Insurers, Approved Inspector and End Users.

The building works, of approx. value £50M were handed over in November 2016. McLaren Construction were the main contractor.
Knight Webb have announced the appointment of Chris Wesley into the role as Project Manager.
Chris, who becomes the sixth member of the expanding Knight Webb project team joins the business from Gleeds and brings over 20 years project management experience having also worked for Wilson Bowden and Simons Construction.

Chris’s immediate focus will be to assume responsibility for the effective co-ordination and delivery of the Clock Tower Retail Park development together with the management of the Imperial Park and Parker Plant projects.
Knight Webb have confirmed the first appointment received from Samworth Brother Supply Chain acting as Tenants Representation to deliver a new 185,000 sq ft temperature controlled distribution unit.
Works commenced at the start of October 2016 and are due for completion in July 2017. The building includes chill store, freezer and specialist blast chill/tempering rooms.
Knight Webb have confirmed the instruction by leading UK supermarket retail chain ASDA for the development of a 15,000 sq ft new retail store development at Warth Park, Kettering.
Knight Webb have been appointed in the role of employer’s agent, project managers and cost consultants. Works started onsite on the development at the beginning of September 2016 and are expected to complete Feb 2017.
The Appointment is the first received by Knight Webb for a retail specific project development and demonstrates the company’s emerging credentials across multiple property and project management sectors.
Knight Webb have confirmed the instruction as project managers on the new 575,000 sq ft Imperial Park Industrial & Logistics development to be developed in Coventry, adjacent to the Airport.
Construction commenced on the scheme at the beginning of September of the development of 3 units of 65,000, 165,000 and 347,000 sq ft being built simultaneously.
Completion is expected by the beginning of June next year with Bowmer & Kirkland the appointed contractors.
The development represents one of the most high profile logistics & industrial schemes throughout the West Midlands and much sought after M6/M1/M69 Logistics Golden Triangle.
